Final Questions

  • I really enjoyed the coding assignments with Thunkable, I thought they werevery unique and cool.

  • I struggled with the Premiere Pro assignments because it was sort of hard to understand how to use and my work would never save. I also had a rough time with minecraft because playing a game like that for WORK and doing so with friends does not mix well.

  • REPORT CARD COMMENT:
"Ashton clearly enjoys doing computer-based work and has quite the creativity, although he needs to work on handing his assignments in on time as well as staying focused".

Game Journalism FINAL DAY Slideshow

Game Journalism Work Day 1

Raft Basics
"Raft" is a survival game in which you float around the ocean on a raft that you can upgrade and add to by collecting floating debris in the water. You must drink water and food while battling sharks and building new items to help you survive.

                     Gathering Materials
Using the plastic hook, you can fish for floating debris in the water and use them as materials to craft and upgrade items for survival.
                       Types Of Materials
Floating debris used as materials includes wood, plastic, leaves and barrels which contain all types of materials.
                               My Raft
My raft so far consists of tables, water purifier, grill, bed and sail while I am currently still upgrading.
                            Shark Attack
In raft, there are sharks constantly swimming around the water trying to kill you and eat your raft, and to defend you must craft a spear and stab the shark when it starts to munch.
                             How I Died
I died when I first started playing due to my raft floating away from me when I tried to swim to an island for resources and ended up drowning.

Game Journalism Play Day 4

If I were to start over playing raft, I would...

1. Gather Materials

2. Craft Building Hammer

3. Continuously Increase Size Of Raft

4. Craft Water Purifier

5. Craft Cup

6. Craft Grill

7. Craft Fishing Rod

8. Craft Spear

9. Craft Bed

10. Craft Paddle

The best tool to make for survival would have to be the building hammer. Without it the sharks would eat your entire raft and then you, and you wouldn't have any space for crafting things.

The best feature of my raft is the space that I have created by keeping items close together and by using tables and shelves to conserve space.
